Reporting- ESG (carbon footprint) Category reporting in Analytics

Hello, 

As businesses move towards carbon neutral, it would be great to be able to report in analytics what a products carbon footprint is. I believe one means to track this is by categorising the product more granularly, e.g. instead of just beef, it's beef- ribeye, beef- mince etc.. Adding these extra (yet needed) categories to the category hierarchy means the user experience at site is impacted, so please can a solution found to allow businesses to capture the footprint in a way that doesn't impact the site user experience while allowing the granular detail to be reported in Analytics.
