Managers and Administrators can easily see I-9 statuses for active Team Members from the I-9 Documentation Dashboard.
To access the I-9 Documentation Dashboard:
- Click WorkSpaces.
- Under your organization's name, click Administrator.
- The Administrator WorkSpace or HOME tab will appear. Click I-9 Documentation.
- A list of Team Members will appear. The status for each individual will display on the right.
- You can use the toolbar under the Name Search field to filter. You can filter on the different I-9 Statuses described below.
The following statuses relate to I-9:
Waiting on Employee | The employee needs to log in to their PeopleMatter account and complete Section 1 of the I-9. |
Overdue - Waiting on Employee | It has been more than three days since the hire date and employee has not yet completed Section 1 of the I-9. The employee needs to log in to their PeopleMatter account and complete Section 1 of the I-9. |
Waiting on Employer | The employee has completed Section 1, but the employer needs to complete Section 2 of the I-9. Click Actions and then Start I-9 to complete Section 2. |
Overdue - Waiting on Employer | It has been more than three days since the hire date and the I-9 has not been completed. The employee has completed Section 1, but the employer needs to complete Section 2 of the I-9. Click Actions and then Start I-9 to complete Section 2. |
Waiting on Auditor | Section 1 and 2 of the I-9 have been completed. Your corporate office will review the information on the I-9 to ensure the data is correct. (Only applicable to organizations using the Auditor Role.) |
Complete | Both the employee and employer have entered the required data on Section 1 and 2 of the I-9. (This does not mean the I-9 is completed correctly, just that it was completed.) |
Active E-Verify Case | I-9 is currently active in E-Verify. The Manager should refer to the E-Verify Cases Dashboard to review and manage the case. (Click Actions and then View E-verify Status.) (Only applicable to organizations using E-Verify in PeopleMatter.) |
