Overview
With the appropriate user access level, multiple employee salary and rate increases (and decreases) can be made manually within the HR module - see WFM HR: Using Employee Batch Update. If there is a large number of employees with salaries and/or rates that need changing, Fourth (on request) can carry out a data load and bulk update. Templates (in Microsoft Excel format) are populated with figures and sent to Fourth's data team. There is a charge per template but it can save time and effort, especially when applying percentage changes to salaries/rates en masse in Microsoft Excel. Fourth’s Customer Success Manager (CSM) team can be contacted for costs and lead times.
Please note: Updating employee salary and rate changes via a data load bypasses any approval steps that might be in place, as per the salary request workflow.
Process
- Customers will download template spreadsheets as required - see the links at the bottom of this article
- Customers complete the template spreadsheets and send them via email to their Fourth Customer Success Manager (CSM)
- Fourth check and upload the data
- Fourth send confirmation to the customer of a successful load
Arranging this well in advance is strongly advised as the lead times can vary between 2-6 weeks at peak times.
If unsure of which template to complete, please raise a discussion on the Customer Community for advice.
Templates
Each data load template contains a GUIDE sheet, that shows/describes what should go in each field.
- Refer to the GUIDE and Example sheets before populating the main template
