What’s Changing?
Multi-browser Compatibility
The following functional areas in Admin have been made compatible with Chrome and Firefox (in Windows operating systems):
Please note that use of Chrome and Firefox to access all of StarChef’s Admin functions is not recommended as there are still Admin functions that are not fully compatible with browsers other than Internet Explorer.
Reminder: To use Chrome and/or Firefox to access StarChef, please place a request with the Service Team or with your Project Manager.
Fraction Input/Output: Reference Fraction Values to Display on Recipe Report
Customers that use 'fraction' values for recipe ingredients can now see these values displayed as fractions rather than decimal values on Recipe Sheet 5 with Detailed Cost.
Draft Records: Reference to ‘Last Modified (By) User ID’ Changed
Draft records are only accessible to the users who created them. Recently a change to make ingredient and recipe audit history more comprehensive resulted in draft record creators being blocked from accessing their draft ingredients and/or recipes. This happened when records were auto-calculated as a result of values being updated via the Admin Import tool or when a recipe's ingredient was updated, thus resulting in an auto-calculation of the recipe.
Due to this 'blocking', draft records will no longer reference the 'last modified’ user ID but will instead reference the 'created by’ user ID to allow access to the draft record.
Mass Copy/Multi Edit: Permission Change
Previously these permissions were linked to Replace in Recipes and Delete from System. Mass Copy and Multi-Edit permissions are now independent so can be made available to users without enabling Replace in Recipes and Delete from System.
Release Date: 15th November 2017
Reason for the Change
General system enhancements.
