Release Notes: Inventory Management: Light v2.0

Introduction

Recipe & Menus Light is a web application that allows the user to search and view Recipe data from an existing database.

With Recipe & Menus Light version 2.0, a number of improvements have been introduced. This Release Note provides an overview of these improvements.

Improved search

Several new filters have been introduced to make the Search functionality more powerful.

Search by Recipe/Ingredient

It is now possible to search for Recipes that contain certain ingredients and sub-Recipes. E.g. a search for ‘chicken’ and ‘mashed potatoes’ will return all recipes containing both.

Search within a Menu or multiple Menus

Filtering by menu will return all Recipes meeting the search criteria from within a particular menu or set of menus. Select the menu(s) from the drop-down list and hit search.

Search by Allergens and Intolerances

Recipes and Menus can now be filtered on all allergen and intolerance values. By default, the foodstuffs included in the Food Information Regulation are shown.

To view the full range of extended values, select Show Extended

Ingredient Information Tool Tip

When viewing a Recipe card, a small amount of ingredient information can be displayed by hovering over an ingredient.

Sell Price Calculator

To help calculate Recipe selling prices, a sell price calculator has been added to the Recipe card screen.

System Requirements

The two most recent versions of each of the following browsers/devices are supported by Recipe & Menus Light:

Mozilla Firefox
Google Chrome
Apple Safari
Apple iPhone
Apple iPad

JavaScript must be enabled for all platforms.

The 'Light' version of Recipe and Menu Engineering requires a database from the core Recipe and Menus system with system users who are able to manage ingredient, Recipe and menu entries.
