The Change
This feature covers the introduction of site specific recipe theoretical cost price calculation in master data. The use of this functionality is controlled by a global setting at the organisation level.Release Date: 20/07/2016
Reason for the Change
This change has been made in order to allow customers where supply across locations differs to calculate site specific theoretical recipe costs for use in reporting rather than using a single organisation level cost.Customers Affected
The functionality is controlled by a global setting and will be set as off by default.Release Notes
Where the “Has Site Recipe Cost” global setting is on a site specific theoretical recipe cost will be calculated. On activation site specific information for each recipe the purpose of costing will be built. The following will be considered when calculating the cost for each site:
• Supplier assignment
• Product rank
• Exchange rates
• Price band (optionally)
Each time changes are received from StarChef recipes will be marked for re-costing. A batch process will be triggered to update the recipes requiring re-costing for each site across the organisation.
Where the site specific recipe theoretical cost price global setting is active the site specific cost price will be used in all areas required, for example management figures and reporting.
In the following example “ReCost Supplier” is only attached to a single site, while “MATTHEW CLARK” is attached to all sites.

In this example, as “ReCost Supplier” is only in use at “Las Vegas” only this sites recipe cost price will consider the supplier, all others will consider the next highest rank product for that site.

Where there is no assigned supplier for a product in a recipe at a site the recipe cost price will be calculated at zero. In the following example the “New Ingredient” product is only supplied by “ReCost Supplier”, per the previous example this supplier is only available to a single site, as there is no alternate supplier assigned to the site the cost price has been calculated as zero.

Exchange rates between currencies, either across site or supplier, are also considered. Where there is no active exchange rate for a currency conversion the recipe cost price will be set to zero as it cannot be calculated correctly.
