What’s Changing?
Improvements to the Inventory export, inclusion of wastage and reasons of deduction. Also introduction of the ability to ignore certain transaction types in the Inventory export from EPOS Gateway.
Release Date: 1st August 2019
Reason for the Change
To allow customers to differentiate between different kinds of wastage and deductions when using the export. Certain transaction types are often not required when closing a period, so being able to ignore them helps this process.
Customers Affected
All Inventory customers, though this functionality will need to be enabled by request. Please liaise with your Fourth contact to have this done.
Release Notes
Add extra Void_waste mapping to the Inventory export.
To enhance the export to Fourth Inventory system, a POS provider may now send on behalf of the customer additional VOID_WASTE transaction types to differentiate between different kinds of wastage.
Export the reason of the deduction to Inventory
This enhancement is to provide customers a better understanding of the reason of deduction/discount when an item is under the VOID_WASTE transaction type.
EPOS Gateway will now send the text sent by the POS provider under this column (VOID_WASTE) to Inventory, allowing customers to see the reason for the deduction.
Ignore transaction types in the Inventory export from EPOS Gateway
EPOS Gateway used to send all the transaction types into Inventory. This new feature enables customers to decide if they want to ignore one of the transaction types when EPOS Gateway export the file to Inventory. This is useful if the customer decides that a transaction type isn’t needed to close their periods.
