When entering a Username, the Property field can sometimes remain blank. This is because the user's account is inactive or they have entered the wrong username.
In such an instance, users should contact their system administrator for assistance.
Unable to Save Own Holiday Request
Unable to save own holiday request resulting in ‘No valid days within range’ message in the HR module. The message occurs due to the configuration of Days Available to Work within the Employment Details page.

Fig.1 – ‘No valid days within range’
For example if only Monday is ticked, the employee will not be able to book holiday from Tuesday to Sunday.

Fig.2 – Days Available to Work
Resolution
The system administrator will be able to change the Days Available to Work within the Employment Details page.
- Go to HR > Employees > Employee List > Find Employee > Employee Info > Employment Details
System users may also encounter the following message ‘All holiday requests must be created for the same holiday year’ when attempting to create a holiday request for themselves over two calendar holiday years.

Fig.3 - All holiday requests must be created for the same holiday year
Shown in Fig.3, the employee is booking holiday from 28/12/2016 – 03/01/2017 and encounters “All holiday requests must be created for the same holiday year” when saving the holiday request.
Resolution
Following same example in Fig.3, the system user will need to book the holiday from 28/12/2016 – 31/12/2016 for the current holiday year. The remaining holiday days then need to be booked from 01/01/2017 - 03/01/2017.

Unable to Create an Employee
A user is unable to create employees due the message seen in Fig.4.
This displays because the user does not have the essential permission.

Fig.4 – With Auto-attach on, you can only create employees if you have user access to at least one company
Resolution
The correct Company Access is required in the HR Module. The system administrator will be able to grant this access.
- Go to HR > Employees > Employee List > Find Employee > Employee Access > Assign Access Levels > Payroll Module > Company Access > Save

Unable to Change an Employee’s Salary
The message seen in Fig.6 occurs when a user is trying to make a pay change for an employee when they have carried a salary change for another employee already. This is a setting which allows users to make one salary change in a permitted pay period.

Fig.6 – “This change date is not allowed as only one salary change is permitted per pay period”
- Please contact the Fourth Service Team, who will need to turn off the payroll global setting ‘Mid-pay’ period changes
The Service Team will need to check with the Bureau Team to ensure nothing is been carried out by payroll.
Once this setting is turned off the user will be able to change the employee’s salary/hourly rate as desired.
Unable to Process Lieu Day in a Rota Day Content Page
A user is unable to process a Lieu day within the Rota Module, as seen in Fig.7. This is because the Lieu day status created in HR for an employee has been set to “Taken”

Fig.7 – Day Content page - Rota
Resolution
The user will need to change the Lieu day status from “Taken” to “Available” within HR. Once the correct shift code is used (Lieu day) this will automatically update the HR Lieu day to “Taken” upon submission of the Rota. This will allow the user to complete the day and submit to payroll.
- Go to HR > Employees > Employee List > Find Employee > Employee HR Info > Lieu Days > Select Lieu day > Change Status > Available > Save
