Did you know pencils contain graphite and not actually lead? When graphite was discovered, it was thought to be a form of lead, hence calling it "lead" in the pencil. I'll just stick with Clarifi and computers to be on the safe side. Check out these Cash Management Release Notes I wrote without touching a pencil.
On Demand Sync
On Demand Sync allows you to easily view the details of the last sync with your Point of Sale and to force an immediate sync request through the Cash module.
Previously, you could only force a sync by logging on to the Back Of House computer and accessing the Agent in the tray at the bottom of the screen. With On Demond Sync, you're able to close out shifts in a timely manner and get your employees off the clock! Simply select DETAILS to view information on past syncs and to initiate a new sync by selecting REQUEST LATEST POS TOTALS.
Financial Day Lock
When you authorize a Reconciliation, you are now required to check a box acknowledging you're aware all areas of the Cash Management module will be locked for that day which means no further adjustments or edits can be made.
Any day you access which has been authorized and closed will then contain a message indicating it has been locked from editing.
Business Day Logic
Improvements have been made to where activity is saved depending on Business Date vs. Calendar Date. For example, if your Business Date is set from 4:00am through 4:00am of the next Calendar Date, saving activity on December 1st at 2:00am will be recorded on November 30th since it is still a part of the previous Business Date.
Hiding Incomplete Variable Drawer
Development was started on a feature that allowed drawer balances to differ from shift to shift. Due to some unforeseen issues that needed to be addressed on the backend, however, the full development of the feature was temporarily halted. To avoid confusion and risk of this incomplete feature being turned on for one of your stores, you're now able to hide what we've done so far until we wrap up the remaining components of that feature.
