Adding and maintaining Events within Clarifi Forecasting provides more data to the forecasting engine which in turn provides more accurate forecasts. For example, that huge, late-night rush last Friday from the local high school homecoming game will now be included when this week's numbers are used to conduct the next forecast. Events are a crucial aspect of receiving the most accurate forecast possible, so it's important to be familiar with how to add them.
Events can be added from the Forecast Dashboard by selecting ADD AN EVENT at the top of the page.
From the Create Event page, you will need to name your Event, select a category, and add a description. Additionally, you will need to add the start and end dates and times along with what Forecast Metric will be affected, and any Revenue Centers. You're able to add either a percentage or dollar amount impact as well. Once completed, simply select SAVE.
Although you're only able to view the current week's Events in the Weekly Events and Promotions section of the Forecasting Dashboard, selecting VIEW ALL EVENTS AND PROMOTIONS allows you select a date range to view upcoming Events you've created.
To delete or duplicate an event, select ACTIONS in the upper, right-hand corner when viewing an Event.
