Are you trying to find out which of your items are top sellers? What about the total percentage that each of your menu groups is contributing to your overall sales? Or the total quantity of a particular item that has been sold? Are these questions overly specific? If you answered yes to any of these (minus the last one) the Product Mix Report is for you.
Generating the Report
To generate the Product Mix report, select the reports module from the side navigation menu. Once you are in reports, select the Manager subtab and choose Product Mix.
On the Product Mix report page, you will be required to choose the date range you would like to use. The following report ranges can be chosen:
- Week to Date
- Last Week
- Fiscal Month to Date
- Last Fiscal Month
You are also able to choose a custom date range. Once you have chosen the Report Period, select Run. The report will generate in the middle of the page.
The report will be broken into three different sections. At the top, you are able to view your Top Sales Items and Percentage of Total Sales by Menu Group.
Top Sales Items will display the top 10 items sold based on contributing revenue. Percent of Total Sales by Menu Group will display each menu group and the overall percentage each has contributed to your total sales.
Beneath that will be a Product Mix Summary table. In the table will be each menu group and the following columns:
- Menu Group - The name of the Menu Group.
- Quantity Sold - How much of that Menu Group was sold for the reporting period selected.
- Sales Revenue - The Sales Revenue generated for that Menu Group based on the Quantity Sold.
- % Of Total Sales - Like the Percentage of Total Sales by Menu Group displayed at the top of the report, this will show the percentage that the Menu Group has contributed to your overall sales.
At the bottom of the table will be a Store Total section where you will see the totals for each row.
The last section of the report will be a table with the same columns, however, each item in each category will be listed, allowing you to see sales information for a single item, as well as subtotals at the bottom of each category listing.
