Managing the workflow of your Production line can be a difficult task to undertake. With the August 28th release for Production, a number of feature enhancements are being rolled out to help make that process easier to set-up, organize, and track.
Items or recipes that are partially expired will now be referenced by the system when it is developing a suggested thaw or prep amount.
For example, a business has a prep schedule that runs at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm every day containing an item that is set to expire in the afternoon. Rather than striking the item altogether; Production will use a portion of that item to develop the calculation used for the suggested Prep amount at 10:00 am.
While viewing their worksheet, users will now have the option to accept the suggested quantity and have it auto-fill the prepped/thawed field in the worksheet.
When building a Thaw Item or Prep Item, users are now able to add a shelf life up to 999 hours. Allowing them to prepare for any kind of shelf life their items might have.
Users are now able to see the formula used to generate the thaw quantity; giving them greater insight into how the suggested thaw amount was determined.
