There are currently two features on the Home tab that HotSchedules will soon be discontinuing. This article will cover what features are scheduled for deprecation, why we’re doing this, and how it could impact your company and site.
What Does This Mean?
As of February 14th, 2019, HotSchedules will no longer support issues exclusively pertaining to the Polls widget, and the Video widget on the Home tab. You will still be able to access and use the features until February 14th, 2019, at which point, they will be removed from the site entirely.
Why is HotSchedules Removing These?
Technology and customer needs change quickly, and we understand that it could impact your business. With that in mind, we have been fairly conservative about which features we deprecate or discontinue support for.
In order to deliver new features to you - and continue to support the features you love - with the best experience possible, we need to be mindful of the tools and features that are no longer being used on a wide-scale level.

Am I Affected?
If your company currently uses any of these features, then yes. Don’t worry though! As mentioned above you will still be able to access each feature through February 14th, 2019, however, we will be unable to support issues unique to each you may experience after February 14th, 2019.
What Do I Need to Do?
To assure the best user-experience possible, we recommend the following for each feature that will soon be discontinued:
- Polls Widget - While this will be gone from the Home tab, you should still be able to set up a survey from the Above Store Console. Users will see the survey when they log in, before they get to their home page.
- Video Widget - Same as the survey, preloads are available from the Above Store Console, you can add a link to a video (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) in a preload for your employees to view.
What Happens if I Don't Act in Time?
As mentioned above, if your company is currently configured to access any of the aforementioned features, they will still be accessible before February 14th, 2019. You will not be able to access them at all on February 14th, 2019.
