When weeks in the future are being forecasted for, it is important that users have the ability to make note of special occasions that may be going on. Clarifi Forecasting fills this need with a feature called events. With Events, users are able to configure different event types and the default impact they will have on the forecast when used.
Please note that only certain users will have the ability to configure events in Clarifi.
The option to build an event will be found on the Forecast Configuration page. To get there, open the forecast subtab located on the side navigation pane in Clarifi and click Config.
Once you are on the Forecasting Configuration page, click the Edit button inside the Events tile.
On the events page, a list of preset categories will appear. Clicking the drop-down arrow for a category will reveal different events that are currently tied to it.
To start building a new event, click Add an Event and fill out the Event Name field. Default Impact % is where you will specify the default percentage the event will affect the forecast.
To the right of Event Name and Default Impact % will be an active/inactive trigger and a trash icon. Clicking on the active/inactive trigger will activate and deactivate the event.
Existing events can be deleted by clicking the trashcan icon. Only Events that have not been saved or used by a store can be deleted.
Once you are done building your forecast events, click Save.
A modal will display, showing the total number of events that you have created.
