What's Changing?
Introduction of a new setting in the core Inventory application that will make the receiving and counting functionality read-only.

Customers Affected
Inventory customers who use the Receiving and Counting apps.
Release Note Info/Steps
Receiving
- Go to Setup > All Options > Global settings
- Use the Module drop-down and select Invoicing
- Expand InvoicingSetting > Goods Received Note Settings and apply the Read only receiving in core application setting as required
With this setting applied:
- When clicking into a GRN that relates to a regular purchase order, a message will inform the user that any changes to the GRN must be done in the Receiving app
- The screen will be similar to the 'Approved GRN' screen (the GRN cannot be edited)
- The 'Actions' buttons will not be visible
It will still be possible to receive GRNs for manual orders in the core Inventory application when read-only mode is enabled

Counting
- Go to Setup > All Options > Global settings
- Use the Module drop-down and select Stock
- Expand Stock Count Settings > Organisation Level Settings and apply the Read only counting in core application setting as required
With this setting applied:
- The layout of the Stock Management > Stock Count main screen will display as shown in Fig.2. The large buttons have been removed and all available actions display in a single list
- When selecting View full stock count, the count screen will have no 'Save' or 'Actions' buttons, and all count boxes will be disabled/read-only
- It will not be possible to create, view or edit stock count templates
Line checks are not impacted by the above and can still be entered in the core Inventory application.
