Alerts feature enhancements
Deep-linked push notifications
From now on, when you tap on a new notification from Reveal you'll be taken to the app and be redirected to the relevant KPI which originated the alert event.
For example:
The alert “Discounts Total > 50” is set to be triggered when the “Discount Total” KPI value exceeds the configured threshold of $50. Tap on the push notification will therefore take you to the “Discount Total” KPI details screen.
This way, you can simply browse through the KPI details to look for outstanding values, and can drill down to view the transactions that made up that total in detail.
Click on push notification "Discounts Total > $50":
In-app Alerts feed
Never worry about missing a push notification from Reveal again: You can now find all your alerts in the new Alerts feed. This means that if you're busy running your store and can't check out your notifications as they arrive, you can go back to the app later to check all your alerts in detail. The Alerts feed is available in the "Alerts" menu item.
Note: to subscribe / unsubscribe to alerts for your stores you must now click in the wheel icon on the top right corner of the Alerts screen.
Employees' timecards drill-down now available for custom-grouped KPIs
We've extended the drill-down feature released with Reveal 1.6: now if you're using workforce KPIs grouped by a customized property you'll also have the ability to drill down to the timecard level for each employee:
Enhancements in KPI Builder and Dashboard Builder tools
KPI Builder: Display format and precision definition added to "Build KPI" tool
From now on, when creating a new KPI or editing existing ones with the KPI Builder tool, you'll be able to set the display format and decimal precision to apply to the KPI:
Dashboard Builder: Ability to set distinct formats for primary and secondary KPIs in "Tile Builder" tool
From now on, you'll also have more flexibility when creating new tiles to compare 2 distinct KPIs: let's say you're creating a new tile to compare "Net Sales" with "Check Count". You can now define the appropriate display format for each of the KPIs, rather than one single format for both. So you can for instance configure "Net Sales" to be displayed as a currency value, while "Check Count" is displayed as a number with no decimal points:
Any format chosen for a tile will not affect the KPI's original format.
Other improvements and bug fixes
- In-app notification when a new Reveal release is available, pushed when an Admin logs in to the mobile app
- Fixed an email send error for Android 6.0.1 users
- Fixed a display issue with negative values in the transaction docket view
