All shift trades must be approved by a manager on HotSchedules. This applies to picking up a shift, swapping a shift, or getting someone else to take a shift you have released.
Anytime you have initiated a shift trade, it will be pending your manager's decision until it has been approved or denied. Assume that you are still responsible for your original shift until it has been approved or denied on HotSchedules (unless you have personally confirmed it with a manager).
Once a manager has approved a shift pickup, release, or swap, each staff member involved will immediately see the change to his or her schedule via the website, mobile application, or automated phone system.
Additionally, you will receive a confirmation message via HotSchedules messaging, and if configured, text messaging and external e-mail.
