Permission sets determine what a user can and cannot do and see in HotSchedules. In the Above Store Console, you are easily able to edit existing permission sets, and create new ones.
In the Above Store Console, hover over Configure, and then select HS Permission Sets.
To add a new permission set, make sure you are within the correct store group.
Then, click Add New.
Give the new permission set a descriptive name, and then a relative permission level in the hierarchy. The lower the number, the more relative power the permission has. For example, a general manager with a level of “3” can adjust the permissions of a manger with a level of “5”, but not vice versa.
If you’d like this new permission set to be given automatically to all new staff by default, check that box.
Outside of the default employee permission set, you can have permission sets assigned to new staff in specific jobs. This will only affect new staff, and will not change the permissions of current employees.
Finally, check the box next to any and all permissions you want associated with this permission set. The box next to the tab name allows the user to see that tab. The permissions within each tab can be individually selected, or you can click the orange All button select all of them at once within that tab.
To edit an existing permission set, simply double-click its name.
You can also click Add New Based On Existing to create a new one based on a current permission set.
